Nintendo to Add Digital TV, Internet Functionality for DS Console

Nintendo announced on Wednesday February 15 that it plans to introduce a digital TV receiver card in Japan for its dual-screen DS portable game console, by which users of the console will be able to make use of T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) services for mobile devices, which are expected to start in April 2006 in Japan. The company also said that it will start selling a card which features a web browser, allowing users to connect to the internet using the Wi-Fi functionality of the console.
